About the atelier
Crafting Airdrops Studio is a small macramé workshop on Linnankatu in Turku. We teach knotting, make wall hangings to order, and keep open hours for visitors who want to see work in progress. The brand name joins the domain stem with the fiber craft we practice — a studio for patient cord work, not a drop-shipping shop.
How we work
Days begin with measuring cords and clearing the long table. Workshops occupy the middle of the week and weekends; quieter hours are reserved for commission knotting and finishing. English is spoken throughout, and we welcome both local makers and travelers who want a tactile afternoon in the city center.
We prefer natural cotton because it photographs honestly and ages without plastic shine. Tools stay simple. Patterns are drawn large on kraft paper so everyone at the table can see the next row. Mistakes are untied calmly — unknotting is part of learning tension.
The room
The atelier mixes chalk walls with brick-dust accents and enough daylight for accurate color judgment. Finished samples hang near the door so you can touch fringe before committing to a class or commission. Seating is limited on purpose; we would rather teach six people well than fill every chair.
If you visit without a booking, you are welcome to look and ask questions during open hours. For a guaranteed seat, write ahead. Phone calls are fine for quick timing questions; longer project notes are easier by email so we can keep measurements accurate.
